Well, guess what - we weren't ready for Notre Dame and now all of us Lion fans are questioning the momentum from the Glory of 2005 carrying over into 2006. This week the Nittany Lion refers back to the previous cartoon where in the last panel the Little Lion asks "Are we ready?" and goes through the politeness of trying to reply when we all know what the answer to that question is. They politely dance around each other until the Little Lion blows a gasket about the result of the game and goes then goes on to bemoan the peril we may be in as we approach a visit to Beavis in Columbus.

This week we face the Division 1AA "Get that 12th Game" Penguins of Youngstown State. YSU's mascot is Pete Penguin, but I wanted to go the "March of the Penguins" route and have a pile of penguins there (always a good thought, but can get tedious as you ink all of the little suckers in!). Of course the Nittany Lion has to ask which one is Pete, and of course they all say they are except for one who decides not to tow the Penguin line. JoePa opines on how the Lions need to learn to win a big game and the Little Lion knows that this game will do little to accomplish that. Hopefully we can learn a bit and regroup - because we certainly need it!
