We'll were here at the beginning of a new Nittany Lion Football Season and we all have high hopes ... anchored by the reality of the past few years. I decided to do the first cartoon after the USF game and use the first cartoon to end last year's arc of "Season as a Pet" theme. This was comparing how a season developed (and the pet grew) based on wins and losses into a good pet or a bad pet ... so bad 2004, bad season. The first game of the season is always more about finding what you have as opposed to a standard season performance. First season games are usually a not very polished learning experience. The Lions got their first win, but I don't think that any of us were convinced that they would plow through the season unhindered - from what we saw.
